This hotel is all about the amazing staff. The 2 ladies working the evening I stayed could not have done enough for the guests. They managed a busy bar and the reception desk superbly. The room was of a good size and the bed was comfortable. Whilst the bathroom wasn't the largest it still offered enough space to get what's needed done. I also appreciate the fact they had placed a fan in the wardrobe and then advised of this when checking in so I knew about it as it was a particularly warm evening when I stayed. All areas of the hotel had seemed to have a refurb and was very clean. Perfect location for both the railway station and city centre.

It was my second stay in this hotel (June and October 2024) - main reason for choosing this hotel was the locality (next to railway station, close to the city centre and the venue of concerts I attended in both instances). The hotel is reasonably comfortable, I didnt have breakfast as I usually tend to eat later, but I did have light dinners in the hotel which were always freshly prepared, tasty and sufficient (I am a vegetarian and vegetarian options were available). The staff is nice. friendly and helpful and generally I can recommend this hotel. If I come over to derbe again, I will happily use their services again.

We couldn’t fault this hotel. Ideal location close to train station and shopping centre. We had 3 x single rooms and all were clean and today. Free on-site parking. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - nothing was too much for them. We booked for one night only, as we were attending an event in the area, and we were surprised at just how good this hotel was. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Truly, the staff make this hotel - because every staff member was polite, friendly and helpful. A lovely place to stay.

Great to see the awesome hotel reopened again..it was my 40th anniversary staying as my younger brother and myself stayed there for the first time in Aug84' for the M.O.R84 festival in Donington..Love the new decor and the hotel is smiling just like the staff..Breakfast is to die for and respect to all the breakfast staff...Already booked for next year ... SYATB

Modern, clean interior and well kept towels, bedding. Fan supplied which was essential on such a hot day! Due to proximity with Derby railways station this was an incredibly convenient location, and only 10 minutes walk from town or a minute to a bus stop and taxi rank. Fast and friendly check-in made for a straightforward and enjoyable stay.
